Alpha Marine Consulting bags newbuilding contracts

The Greek marine consultancy firm has been awarded contracts with Greek and North European Shipping companies for the plan approval of a series of 38,000 cbm-capacity LPG carriers which will be fitted with hybrid scrubbers.

According to Alpha Marine Consulting (AMC), the owners intend to utilise the company’s experience in both newbuilding and scrubber engineering sectors.

In addition to the LPG carrier contract, AMC has also been awarded contracts for 115,000 DWT Aframaxes, 156,000 DWT Suezmaxes and 6,000 DWT dual-fuel chemical oil tankers.

‘Alpha Marine Consulting aims at developing and contributing into a vessel which will satisfy both regulatory and buyers’ requirements, as well as industry’s best practices,’ said AMC. ‘For achieving this, use is being made of the firm’s experience with numerous newbuildings and conversions, covering a wide range of vessel types such as container vessels, product/chemical tankers, oil tankers, LPG/NH3 carriers, asphalt tankers, bulk carriers, general cargo ships, passenger ships, etc.’
