Rhys BerryAir lubrication specialist Silverstream Technologies has secured an order for nine 16,000 TEU containerships.
‘The installation, which will commence in 2023 and finish in 2025, will take place at one of our trusted partner yards in Southeast Asia,’ the Silverstream Technologies announced on social media today (23 March).
The company claims its Silverstream System generates between net 5-10% fuel and emissions savings, depending on the vessel.
As previously reported, last September the company announced the largest deal in its – and the air lubrication sector’s – history with 30 orders of its patented system for ‘a substantial portion’ of Mediterranean Shipping Company’s new build orderbook.
