Eneti has announced that it has sold its entire holding of 2,155,140 common shares in Scorpio Tankers Inc., a related party, for approximately $83.3 million.
As part of the transaction, Scorpio Tankers Inc. purchased approximately 1.3 million shares for approximately $50 million, Eneti said today (16 August).
As previously reported, the company was rebranded from Scorpio Bulkers to Eneti last year in a bid to move away from the business of dry bulk commodity transportation and towards marine-based renewable energy. Since then, the company has ordered two wind turbine installation vessels (WTIV) capable of operating on LNG or ammonia fuel.
