Miami-Dade Mayor to launch shore power at PortMiami next week

On Monday, 17 June, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava will launch PortMiami’s shore power facility.

As previously reported, the project is a partnership between Miami-Dade County, Carnival Corporation & plc, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Royal Caribbean Group, Virgin Voyages, and Florida Power & Light Company.

Following the launch, PortMiami will be the first major cruise port on the U.S. eastern seaboard offering shore power capability at five cruise berths.
