Survey launched on alternative fuels for maritime decarbonisation

The Centre for Future Clean Mobility (CFCM) has launched a nationwide survey aimed at gathering insights on alternative fuels for maritime decarbonisation.

The survey seeks input from all maritime sectors across the UK to understand the current and future fuel usage, focusing on the next five and fifteen years.

CFCM’s initiative aims to identify the barriers to decarbonisation and the necessary steps to facilitate this transition. The survey results will be used to shape policy and regulation, drive innovation funding for clean fuels, and ensure the UK remains a leader in maritime decarbonisation. The anonymised findings will be made public to inform UK maritime policy, regulation, and funding strategies.

The survey, conducted in collaboration with the University of Exeter and Tope Ocean can be accessed here.
