OrbitMI is introducing advanced technologies to address the complex challenges of LNG shipping.
‘By embracing this complexity and leveraging advanced technologies, LNG operators can transform environmental challenges into opportunities,’ stated CEO Ali Riaz.
OrbitMI’s solutions focus on integrating data from various sources to improve vessel performance and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Central to their offerings is the Orbit Reporter application, a cloud-based tool that captures essential data on gas operating conditions, LNG inventory, and emissions. This new product aims to minimise manual data entry errors and supports integration with high-frequency data sensors.
The company’s solutions aim to cater to the unique operational needs of both LNG carriers and Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs). OrbitMI has also partnered with Bureau Veritas with the aim of making sure their solutions comply with new regulations, such as the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) and FuelEU Maritime (FEUM).
OrbitMI aims to optimise LNG operations throughout the entire voyage, considering factors such as fuel usage, methane slip management, and regulatory compliance.
