Renewable energy company PowerCell has announced the appointment of Anders Düring has been appointed as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Düring will begin his appointment on 1 December 2024, following a brief transition period beginning in November. He will succeed Torbjörn Gustafsson, who is set to leave PowerCell by the year’s end.
In his previous roles, Düring focused on scaling financial operations to drive growth, which supports PowerCell’s mission to drive growth in the hydrogen-electric solutions market.
PowerCell’s portfolio, which includes proprietary fuel cell stacks and hydrogen power systems, targets sectors such as marine, aviation, and stationary power generation.
Düring expressed enthusiasm for joining the team, stating, ‘PowerCell operates at the forefront of an industry crucial to achieving an emission-free future. I look forward to contributing to its growth in this expanding market.’
His previous roles as CFO include time at KappAhl and Volvo Information Technology, and as Group Controller and CIO at Ballingslöv. His appointment is viewed by PowerCell as a strategic step toward bolstering the company’s financial leadership in a period of accelerated growth.
‘Mr. Düring’s extensive experience in both senior management and financial oversight aligns well with PowerCell’s goals for continued expansion,’ said Richard Berkling, CEO of PowerCell. ‘We anticipate that his varied industry experience will be instrumental as we move forward.’
