Coach Solutions updates valid data tool for FuelEU Maritime compliance

Copenhagen based Coach Solutions has enhanced its Valid Data noon report module to simplify compliance with the EU’s FuelEU Maritime regulation, set to take effect on January, 2025.

The updated Valid Data tool integrates with the OVD standard used by DNV and other verifiers, enabling accurate and efficient reporting via the Bunker Delivery Note (BDN) methodology.

Coach states that its BDN compliance method aims to ‘standardise fuel documentation and aid in tracing fuel blending and bunkering’.

The company, which is owned by Norway’s Kongsberg Group, has offices in Singapore, Houston, Athens, and Mumbai, and develops software to optimise voyage planning, vessel performance, and fleet management.

The FuelEU Maritime regulation requires a standardised approach to fuel documentation, emphasising the well-to-wake methodology that assesses the lifecycle of fuel production and consumption.

‘This updated solution addresses the challenges faced by our clients in adhering to strict reporting requirements while maintaining operational efficiency. Valid Data is a comprehensive tool that improves accuracy and simplifies compliance, providing confidence in meeting regulatory standards and facilitating efficient reporting,’ explained Christian Rae Holm, CEO of Coach Solutions.
