New QatarEnergy dual-fuel LNG carrier named

A naming ceremony was held on Thursday (17 April) at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding’s yard in China for the 174,000 cubic metre (cbm) capacity newbuild Al Tuwar, which is the first in a series of 12 LNG vessels being built for QatarEnergy.

The vessels will be equipped with X-DF 2.1 iCER  engines which can run on conventional bunker fuel and LNG.
