BYD Shenzhen bunkering marks 400th fuelling for FueLNG

FueLNG has completed its 400th LNG bunkering with the fuelling of the world’s largest car carrier, BYD Shenzhen.

The bunkering, which took place at Singapore anchorage, was carried out by the 7,500 cubic metre (cbm) FueLNG Bellina bunker vessel whilst the BYD Shenzhen was on its maiden voyage, FueLNG said in a social media post today (15 May).

As previously reported by ship.energy, Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD took delivery of the BYD Shenzhen at the end of April.

The 219-metre-long vessel, which has a loading capacity of 9,200 vehicles, was delivered in Yizheng, in east China’s Jiangsu Province. It is BYD’s fourth LNG dual-fuel Ro-Ro vessel. The other three LNG dual-fuel Ro-Ro ships operated by BYD are the Explorer No.1, Changzhou and Hefei.
