About ship.energy

The ship.energy platform gives shipping industry stakeholders the opportunity to learn more about cleaner marine fuels and propulsion technologies and to take part in the growing debate over how shipping and the bunker sector can actively and fully participate in the marine energy transition to zero emissions.

Published by Petrospot Limited, ship.energy is the go-to information hub for news, longer reads, interviews, and expert comment on new fuels, technologies and vessel efficiency. It also encourages and facilitates dynamic information exchange, allowing shipping and bunkering stakeholders to engage with energy and technology providers through polls, surveys, blogs, podcasts, and online discussions.

The free-to-view platform  includes information on global, regional and national initiatives that are designed to accelerate the journey to low carbon, low emission shipping, as well as on R&D collaborative programmes involving industry and academic institutions, white papers and project funding provision.

As shipping heads out to new horizons, much of the regulatory, legal and safety framework that underpins it will have to be revised or written anew. Again, ship.energy will report back on these important changes.

Building on the first, highly successful Marine Energy Transition Forum, held in 2019 with the support of the Port of Antwerp, ship.energy is also taking a lead the in ‘getting to zero’ conversation through a programme of focussed and agile industry events and webinars.
