Open dialogue: Harnessing commercial opportunities to drive maritime trade

This important event will give maritime stakeholders a unique chance to see how Oman’s maritime-related industries are responding to the many opportunities created by changing global trade flows, technological change, global regulation, and the energy transition.

The Oman Maritime, Ports and Energy Forum is taking place under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Said Bin Hamood Bin Said Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.

The event has been created to highlight the skillsets and commercial opportunities available across the Sultanate of Oman’s ports, energy, shipping, maritime logistics and bunkering sectors.

This important event will give maritime stakeholders a unique chance to see how Oman’s maritime-related industries are responding to the many opportunities created by changing global trade flows, technological change, global regulation, and the energy transition.

By profiling the resources and expertise available in Oman – and the wider Middle East – the Forum will allow companies from outside the region to understand the potential and scope for business opportunities, to engage with relevant companies and organisations, and begin all-important commercial discussions.

TThe inaugural Oman Maritime, Ports and Energy Forum will showcase the Sultanate’s key port, shipping and bunkering infrastructure, with a focus on Oman’s:

  • Energy supply and delivery networks
  • Four strategically located ports
  • Logistics and storage facilities
  • Agency services
  • Growing importance as a safe and reliable bunkering location
  • Shipping and its journey towards a sustainable, greener future.

This exciting event will consist of a conference, tailored breakouts and workshops and focused training.

It will also provide a unique opportunity to meet and engage with key shipping, ports and bunkering companies and government leaders from Oman and elsewhere in the Middle East.
