As part of London International Shipping Week 2023
The Forum will see the launch of an Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) index specifically for shipping companies which is the result of independent academic research by two leading universities, the University of Plymouth and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The event will also consider if the marine fuels industry’s often rather opaque commercial and operations practices are really changing, particularly in the context of the bunker supply chain, compliance with environmental and national regulations, an increasingly complex sanctions framework, the growth of digitalisation and the industry’s role in shipping’s energy transition.
