The Middle East Bunkering Convention returns to Dubai in February for more meaningful and informative debate and engagement on the ‘health’ of the marine fuels sector – from both a global and a regional perspective.
An Introduction to Digital Solutions
The bunker industry is a sector in transition and its stakeholders are seeing the implementation of a raft of new technologies and processes, including digital deliveries and the use of e-BDNs and mass flow meters (MFM)s.
In this sharply focused and timely one day training course, delegates will gain a good understanding of the tools of digitalisation and be better prepared for the introduction of new operational and commercial practices.
The course will be useful for anyone whose role requires a knowledge of marine fuel delivery processes and practices and fuel measurement, as well as an understanding of how new digital solutions can bring accuracy, transparency and cost and time efficiencies into bunker supply operations.

With an educational background in Chemical Engineering and a proven track record in the bunkering industry, Claudia has a wide experience on both conventional and alternative fuels. From her first role on selling Mass Flow Meters, throughout her position in LNG Cargo Handling Systems and the commercial leadership for a barge operator, bunkering has always been at the core of all her activities. All that experience in different aspects of the bunkering industry and the continuous focus on alternative fuels, came together in December 2023 in her own company; C4 fuel.
C4 fuel was established to support maritime stakeholders in better understanding and embracing the changes in the maritime industry from both a technical and commercial perspective. In addition, Claudia represents SGMF as Membership and Communications Manager. Claudia has always been active in several associations, from SGMF at the start of her maritime career, to the NEN working group (methanol bunkering standard) and since April 2023, also as a board member for IBIA (The International Bunker Industry Association), for which she was recently re-elected. Within IBIA, she also acts as the Chair of the Bunkerlicense and MassFlowMeter Working Group and as a member of the Future Fuels Working Group.

I have 17+ years of experience from the shipping industry split between tanker operations and bunker purchasing and 1,5 years as an oil trader at an oil refinery in Denmark.
Back in 2020 I established a new bunker purchasing desk inside one of the world’s biggest shipping companies, where I realized the need for a system to play the team right, and not staying in our old conservative mindset. I therefore decided to implement a planning and purchasing tool which could assist the team to succeed and the company to optimize the fuel costs.
