The energy supply sector across Sub-Saharan Africa (developments and changes in refining capacity; fuel availability, access and supply; storage and delivery; fuel quality, sampling and testing).
Developments in South Africa’s journey towards decarbonisation
Investments into South African Refineries, Fuel Supply & Fuel Supply Issues as well as Hydrocarbons.
Ports infrastructure
Developments in Western and Eastern Africa & Identify Business and Market Opportunities.

The programme will include a variety of top-level presentations and vibrant panel discussions. It will also include a Women in Maritime panel that will examine how the role of women is developing within the context of the shipping and bunkering sectors in Africa.

SESSION 5 – AN INDUSTRY IN TRANSITION

This session will examine the global drive towards a zero-carbon future for shipping, looking at development of new fuels and alternative sources of energy for the maritime sector, from both a global and an African perspective. It will look at ammonia, hydrogen, LNG, and biofuels, and will explain the latest environmental regulations aimed at sustainable shipping. It will also investigate the benefits of digitisation in the bunker supply process.
