TOP ORGANISATIONS JOIN FORCES TO CREATE SUPER-POWERED PORTUGAL SHIPPING WEEK 2022
Four leading maritime and energy organisations are collaborating with Petrospot to create a very strong programme of events at this year’s Portugal Shipping Week (PSW22) which takes place in Lisbon in May.
Euromar, EISAP, WISTA Portugal and Galp, Portugal’s multinational energy company, will each contribute high profile events to the week, which also includes Petrospot’s Flagship Conference which is strongly supported by the Portuguese Government, the Embassies of Germany, Norway and the UK, APP, the association which represents all major Portuguese Ports, and a growing list of shipping and maritime related entities.
PSW22 will showcase Portugal as a global shipping and maritime logistics centre and offers foreign shipowners and representatives from every maritime discipline a unique and exciting opportunity to develop important new commercial relationships with the leaders of the Portuguese maritime sector as well as major international players.
Throughout the week, events will focus largely on the impact of the marine energy transition for shipping and ports, as well as bunkering, port, and ancillary services.
PSW22 will feature two high-powered conferences: The PSW Flagship Conference hosted by Petrospot, and the EISAP Conference, organised by the European International Shipowners’ Association of Portugal, which represents more than 80% of ships sailing under the Portuguese flag. WISTA Portugal will hold its Atlantic Forum and Galp will once again be inviting its international shipping and bunkering customers and colleagues to its Atlantic Meeting.
The week’s core events will be held at the historic Gare Marítima de Alcântara, on the banks of the River Tagus, including a two-day exhibition, shipping, bunkering and LNG bunkering training courses, a decarbonisation round table, and specialised, focused breakout sessions. Technical site visits to the headquarters of the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) in Lisbon and to the Port of Sines, the largest multipurpose port in Portugal, are also on offer, as is some spectacular networking events overlooking Lisbon’s glorious waterfront. Highlights include an EISAP Welcome Cocktail in Estoril and a Gala Dinner at the unique Forte São Julião da Barra.
Comprehensive tailored sponsorship packages are available to give companies and organisations extensive and valuable market visibility in the run-up to the event and during the week. These range from the top-level Diamond Sponsorship to the entry-level Bronze Sponsorship. Exhibition tables are also available, on a first come first-served basis.
