Well done shipenergy.tfa-testserver.co.uk and MSI for making these relative contributions from various sectors more digestible and clearer to understand.
This aspect is often missing from the debate where we tend to lump everything into “shipping”. Unfortunately that includes rule makers and politicians.
Creating regulation to fit all of these different businesses and trades is leading to suboptimal outcomes. One size fits all adds complexity and dysfunction.
To make progress we need more 80/20 thinking like this. A better understanding of market dynamics by the regulators would help. We can’t continue to say commercial considerations are outside the rule making process when faced with the energy transition challenge.
