Preliminary bunker fuel sales for July show 4,731,910 tonnes of bunkers, including alternative fuels, were sold in Singapore last month. This marks a 3.8% year-on-year decrease on the 4,918,020 tonnes sold in July 2025, according to data published by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). Month-on-month, however, total bunker sales rose 1.3% from 4,669,120 tonnes in June. Fratelli Cosulich has announced the launch of Carlotta Cosulich, the third of four methanol-ready IMO II bunker tankers, at Taizhou Maple Leaf shipyard in China. In a statement posted on LinkedIn today (14 August) Fratelli Cosulich said the launch brought the company ‘one step closer to completing [its] four-vessel programme and reinforces Fratelli Cosulich Group’s commitment to safety, innovation, sustainability and operational excellence’. Argentina LNG, the integrated liquefied natural gas (LNG) project promoted by YPF, Eni and XRG, has submitted its application to join Argentina’s Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI). Drawing on the resources of the Vaca Muerta formation, the project aims to develop an integrated LNG value chain, from upstream gas production to export infrastructure, including gas transportation and processing facilities, and two Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) units with a combined liquefaction capacity of 12 million tonnes per year (MTPA), to be located offshore Río Negro province.
