Construction of the Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub gets underway

A foundation stone laying ceremony on 1 December marked the start of construction of a 100 MW electrolyser which forms part of the Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub (HGHH) initiative which will see the production of around 10,000 tons of green hydrogen annually which will contribute to the decarbonisation of the Port of Hamburg and other industry sectors. Windcat and Damen shake hands on new ‘fuel efficient’ MP-ASV

Crew transfer solutions provider Windcat and Damen have inked a contract for a new Multi-Purpose Accommodation Support Vessel (MP-ASV). Signed at the Offshore Energy Conference in Amsterdam yesterday (25 November), the deal comes with the option of five additional ‘Innovation Series’ vessels. In a statement issued today, the companies highlighted that the vessels will combine a ‘large open deck with a subsea crane with fuel efficient operations and comfortable, high-quality accommodation’ for personnel working in the offshore energy sector for extended periods. e1 Marine to supply hydrogen reformers for PowerCell’s first methanol-to-power fuel cell order

e1 Marine has secured an order for its methanol-to-hydrogen generator technology to be integrated into eight marine fuel cell systems that will be delivered by PowerCell for a European shipyard. The eight M2Power systems, with a capacity of 250 kW each, represent PowerCell’s first commercial sale of its methanol-to-power fuel cells for the marine market. The SEK 150 million ($15.7 million) order from an unnamed shipyard was announced in March, with delivery scheduled for 2029. He joined MRC in Oxford to launch BunkerNews, before establishing Petrospot in 2003 to publish Bunkerspot magazine, news and pricing services, and highly-respected bunker and shipping books.

He has created and run globally-recognised events in 26 countries around the world, including Middle East Bunkering Convention, Maritime Week Americas, Maritime Week Africa, ARACON, London International Shipping Week and European Shipping Week, and runs internationally-renowned training programmes, including the Oxford Bunker Course and BunkerExperience.
