Ahead of the next round of negotiations on the International Maritime Organization’s Net-Zero Framework (NZF) by the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) in November, the climate NGO Opportunity Green has published analysis which it says demonstrates that the latest proposal from Japan would ‘significantly alter the agreed policy architecture’ and ‘undermine even further the chances of making the 2023 Revised Strategy a reality’.
