Zero Emissions Cruising 2025 Conference

Zero Emission Cruising Conference, taking place in Bergen, Norway, on 17-18 November 2025, is a two-day event dedicated to the future of sustainable cruising. This conference will bring together key stakeholders from the cruise industry, including cruise operators, shipbuilders, technology providers, fuel suppliers, regulatory bodies, financial institutions, port authorities, and sustainability experts.

As the cruise sector faces increasing pressure to align with ambitious climate targets, the conference will take a close look at the implications of upcoming regulatory frameworks — including FuelEU Maritime and the broader Fit for 55 package. These regulations are reshaping the way cruise lines operate and are accelerating the shift toward innovative and sustainable solutions.

The agenda will explore how cruise lines and technology providers are responding through the adoption of sustainable energy solutions, including LNG, liquid biofuels, and hydrogen on one hand, and on the other hand, advancements in battery technologies, hybrid-electric propulsion systems, along with energy efficiency measures and port infrastructure upgrades.

Participants will gain valuable insights into regulatory developments, practical implementation strategies, and the technological innovations that are shaping the path toward fully sustainable cruise operations. With a mix of individual sessions and expert-led panel discussions – each followed by an interactive Q&A – the event promises to deliver in-depth knowledge sharing and perspectives.

The conference will offer valuable networking opportunities, enabling participants to connect with industry leaders and peers, exchange ideas, share best practices, and collaborate on the path toward zero-emission cruising. In addition to daytime sessions, participants will have ample opportunity to network with peers and industry leaders. The first day will conclude with the Sustainable Energy Dinner, providing a relaxed setting for continued dialogue and exchange.
