EUKOR Car Carriers, SIPG Energy, and World Fuel have completed the first green methanol bunkering of Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s first Shaper Class vessel, M/V Arctic Tern, at the Port of Shanghai. Marine fuels trading firm Shipergy has announced a number of appointments across its commercial team. Lina Molfetas, who has worked with Shipergy since its inception in 2022, has been appointed Trading Manager, based in London. In this role, she leads trading activity across the desk, oversees and develops trading activities, and builds on client relationships. U.S. Department of Energy data shows that crude oil stocks in the country’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) have fallen by 10.7 million barrels this month to reach 311.4 million barrels on 17 July, which is the lowest volume since March 1983 and equates to around 43% of authorised SPR capacity.
