Monaco-based Scorpio Tankers has announced it has entered into an agreement to purchase four newbuilding vessels comprising two LR2 product tankers and two very large crude carriers (VLCC). All four vessels will be equipped with scrubbers, the company said in a statement issued yesterday (29 September). Qatar Gas Transport Company Limited (Nakilat) has named the latest LPG/ammonia carrier to join its fleet during a ceremony held at the HD Hyundai Samho shipyard in Yeongam, South Korea. In a statement issued today (30 September), Nakilat said that the Energy North is set to service on Friday (2 October). Cruise shipping giant Carnival Corporation has reported ‘best ever revenues’ and an ‘all-time high’ net income of $1.9 billion for the third quarter (Q3) of 2026 – despite an increase in fuel costs.
