Spanish scale-up company H2SITE has launched a new subsidiary based in Bergen, Norway, to accelerate the commercial adoption of its onboard ammonia-to-hydrogen technology. Maritime decarbonisation technology company Vinssen Co. has announced it has obtained Type Approval from the Korean Register (KR) and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for its 150kW marine fuel cell module. South Korean Vinssen now holds approval from three class societies having previously been awarded Type Approval by RINA. South Korea’s Vinssen Co has announced the launch of the hydrogen fuel cell-powered vessel Hydro Zenith at its headquarters in the Daebul Industrial Complex in Yeongam. According to a company press release issued last week, over 100 people attended the launch ceremony on 18 December. The Hydro Zenith has been designed and built according to the ‘Provisional Standards for Hydrogen Fuel Cell-Powered Ships’ established by South Korea’s Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in 2023.
