Swedish electric boat builder Candela has announced that Maldivian operator Ego Shuttle has purchased a fleet of 10 vessels. Orange Marine, a subsidiary of Orange specialising in submarine cable work, has awarded the construction of two new diesel-electric cable ships to the Sri Lankan shipyard Colombo Dockyard. Corvus Energy will be supplying its Orca Energy battery systems for an electric tugboat that will be built by the Japanese shipyard Keihin Dock Co for NYK Line.
