Polish integrated energy company ORLEN has issued a request for proposals (RFP) from AI companies who can deploy their technology skills across the downstream and upstream energy sectors. More specifically, the RFP seeks partners with expertise in generative artificial intelligence, machine learning, advanced data analytics, data science, mathematical modelling and the deployment of AI in corporate environments. Brazilian national oil company Petrobras informed ship.energy yesterday (21 September) that a temporary suspension of bunkering in Rio Grande had been put in place as a result of ‘adverse weather conditions’. In a statement sent to ship.energy at 21:15 GMT, Petrobras explained that a tropical storm, with winds exceeding 100 km/h, hit the city of Rio Grande in the early hours of the morning, causing damaging to local infrastructure and a power outage at the Rio Grande Terminal where the bunker barges are loaded.
