Governments of least developed countries (LDCs) and small island developing states (SIDS) are now invited to nominate candidates for the 2026 Sustainable Maritime Transport Training Programme (GHG-SMART), implemented by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and funded by the Republic of Korea. At its 13th session taking place in the International Maritime Organization’s London HQ last week (9-13 February), the Sub-Committee on Pollution Prevention and Response (PPR) agreed to proposed amendments to the MARPOL Annex VI and the NOx Technical Code (NTC) 2008 that will enable the certification of engines operating on non‑carbon fuels or fuel mixtures. APM Terminals and Eurogate are in advanced negotiations for a long-term partnership under which they plan to invest €1 billion in the modernisation of their joint container terminal, North Sea Terminal Bremerhaven (NTB). In a statement issued today (13 February), APM Terminals, a subsidiary of A.P.
